Who are we?
BluesNews is a development of the Community Action on Depression project located at Southern Primary Health and funded by the Department of Health, South Australia. It is a joint initiative between mental health and community health services. Adopting a strong focus on prevention, early intervention and self help strategies, we aim to increase mental health understanding in the general and professional community to promote emotional, social, physical and spiritual health. The project is overseen by a team of senior health professionals with strong backgrounds in mental health.

Our aims
1. To provide a community based early intervention and prevention program for people experiencing early signs of depression and anxiety.
2. To promote knowledge of depression in the community.
3. To increase early help seeking behaviour for depression.
